The fake images show the 74-year-old retired Genesis drummer as he was visited by Paul McCartney, with the pair embracing before the Beatles legend serenaded him with a song.
Phil’s representatives were forced to deny the singer was in a hospice earlier this week following speculation over his health, confirming to TMZ that he was actually in a hospital undergoing knee surgery.
The photos were shared by Facebook group Rock & Roll Universe which fans were quick to brand them in poor taste and a obvious forgery, considering Paul, 83, unlike in the photos plays his guitar left handed.
Alongside the images, the post read: ‘This afternoon, London’s hospital halls fell unusually silent as Paul McCartney quietly arrived, carrying the same old guitar that had followed him through decades’.
‘On the fifth floor, Phil Collins lay still—frail and pale after months battling severe complications from spinal and heart conditions. As Paul entered the room, Phil’s eyes slowly opened, his lips trembling without sound’.

The former entertainer stopped playing drums in 2022 due to physical limitations, and in February said he no longer wants to make music.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer suffers from type 2 diabetes and complications from a spine injury he incurred nearly 20 years ago.
‘My vertebrae have been crushing my spinal cord because of the position I drum in. It comes from years of playing,’ he told Daily Mail in 2009.
‘I can’t even hold the sticks properly without it being painful. I even used to tape the sticks to my hands to get through,’ he said at the time, adding cheekily, ‘Don’t worry, I can still sing.’

The actor, who is the father of Emily in Paris star Lily Collins, got his start in show business as the Artful Dodger in Oliver on London’s West End in 1964.

Collins auditioned for Genesis and joined the group in 1970 at age 19, replacing John Mayhew on drums.
