A 6-Year-Old Cody Johnson Fan’s Special Birthday
Cody Johnson‘s music is truly timeless and appeals to all ages. The Texas native is currently on tour for the Leather Deluxe Tour, making stops all around the United States.
One young fan, Blake, chose to celebrate her birthday by seeing her “favorite singer” live. Accompanied by her mom and dad, she carried a sign to the show that read:
“It’s my 6th birthday! Can I sing Dirt Cheap with you?”

Her dad helped her hold the sign up high in the crowd, and fellow audience members shone their cell phone lights on it, in hopes of getting the country star’s attention.
Although the birthday girl did not make it up on the stage, the evening became a special memory for her and her family. Her mom wrote:
“Blake had a request for her 6th birthday. She wanted to sing dirt cheap with her favorite singer, Cody Johnson. The crowd was rooting for her. They made sure she was acknowledged. Although it didn’t happen, he sent her a personal birthday message, and she gained the attention of the crowd. Thank you to all of you who were a part of this special moment.”
They say seeing life through a child’s eyes is a beautiful thing, and the young girl’s father locked his eyes on her the whole time as they sang their hearts out to Cody Johnson’s “Dirt Cheap” live.
